To support our ongoing hiring demands, Retronix is seeking an outstanding individual for a Commissioning Technician role based in Chandler, Arizona.

The Commissioning Technician is responsible for installing and upgrading AMHS equipment according to plan or schedule. This position requires both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment requiring some direct supervision. The Commissioning Technician II must follow designated installation procedures and safety guidelines established for work areas.

Essential Duties:

· Perform equipment modifications and commissioning per established training, instalment documentation and procedures documented in supporting documentation

· Lead by positive example in applying all safety protocols and guidelines. Demonstrate productive working relationship with safety coordinators

· Troubleshoot and recover errors individually, with teams and with assistance in difficult situations

· Demonstrate an ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics, independently

· Prioritize tasks based on the commissioning check sheets

· Load/install and analyze software and hardware per documented procedures

· Conduct running tool performance tests and verify results

· Troubleshoot and recover errors

· Configure tools to specific customer demands

· Communicate project progress and take directions from Project Managers to stay on schedule. Proactively communicate deviations from schedule and work with the PMs to get back on schedule. Provide constructive feedback as warranted

· Communicate expectations, progress, problems and trouble-shooting, to co-workers on a daily basis and interact with customers regularly. Communicate a daily workplan to the PM before starting

Position Requirements and Abilities:

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with some supervision

· Must possess and demonstrate a strong attention to detail

· Require systematic troubleshooting skills, sound judgment and strong applied problem-solving skills to resolve unique problems on diverse types of projects

· Must actively plan learning and skill improvement as part of an annual development planning process. Must take responsibility for the plan and actively pursue personal improvement

· Strong oral and written communications skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with management, engineering, peers and office staff

· Must demonstrate intermediate software skills including CRUS commissioning and trouble-shooting tools and Microsoft Outlook, Excel and SharePoint

· Must be able to work under pressure of customer and Project Manager’s, changing demands

· Must be able to complete and communicate task progress under tight time frames

· Must be available to work overtime, weekends and holidays

· Required to not only follow and follow and understand work rules and procedures but must lead by demonstrating them with a positive example

· Must actively demonstrate adherence to safety guidelines and lead by positive example with safe behaviors established for work areas. Must model customer’s safety and cleanliness policies to maintain a safe and clean work environment

· Configure tools to specific customer demands

· Must be able to exhibit logical work process and document and communicate troubleshooting processes

· Must be able to travel up to 90% (Domestic and International)

Knowledge and Skills:

· Ability to apply Lock out /Tag out, without assistance

· Experience with “Confined Space” entry and regulations

· Minimum 4 years of technical (mechanical or electrical) experience

· Experience with installing and trouble-shooting mechanical equipment

· Experience with the use of mechanical tools

· Experience with installation and troubleshooting of basic plumbing

· Able to perform and troubleshoot Vacuum HE leak checks

· Experience with installing and troubleshooting electrical systems

· Demonstrated ability to use of electrical tools (multimeter, voltage meter)

· Experience and competency commissioning robots

· Able to correctly inspect and use provided fall protection equipment and possesses an understanding of applicable safety regulations.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Must demonstrate an ability to read drawings and schematics

· Intermediate level skill with Microsoft Office

· Must demonstrate an ability to work in a semiconductor facility

· Experience working with diverse work groups

· Must be able to create and work to a task level schedule

· Must understand hex to decimal, binary to decimal conversion

· Must be able to produce a “WhitePaper” that meets customer requirements
