Job Description

To support our ongoing hiring demands, Retronix is seeking an outstanding individual for an Inventory Controller/Buyer role based within Dublin.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • As a key member of the team you will be responsible for Inventory management, Goods receiving and shipping and invoicing
  • Provide answers to customer inquiries, i.e. order status, expected ship date, proof of delivery, shipping information etc
  • Ensure that customers questions and problems are resolved properly and quickly; identify and escalate priority issues and perform investigation processes for problematic issues
  • Escalate potential supplier manufacturing and compliance issues to provide and obtain direction and decision making
  • Ensure timely placement of all transactions (PO’s/SO’s) in support of business activities
  • Expedite released PO’s, maintain PO dates and resolve any discrepancies
  • Process Refurbish sales orders
  • Perform all materials transaction for refurbish
  • Be familiar with RMA process
  • Gather and analyse data to solve complex problems
  • Compliance with internal policies, procedure and external governance
  • Strong customer service orientation required
  • Demonstrate ability to manage time and competing priorities
  • Demonstrate ability to follow procedures and maintain detailed records
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work both independently and as a member of a team

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience in a customer service or shipping role in a multi-national company
  • Working knowledge of Quality Systems within a regulated environment
  • Qualified or studying for Supply Chain related qualification (APICS, IIPMM etc)
  • Working knowledge of EU Export controls and experience of working with Harmonized Tariff Codes, customs clearance issues and adherence to International trade compliance will be required
  • Demonstrate high level of competency in MS Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience of report writing/dashboard and presentations required
  • Good communicator and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities

Advantageous Supplementary Skills:

  • Previous experience to parts repair business module
  • Understanding of Bill of Materials structures
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to international trade issues
