I started working for Retronix Semiconductor in June 2018. I am a Level 1 PGV operator. I heard about the job opening at a meeting that I was invited to at Cenit organisation in Edenderry which is a company that helps unemployed people get back into the workplace.

I have always had a big interest in technology, both how it works and how it’s manufactured, so when I heard about the opportunity to work with Retronix Semiconductor in the Ireland facility I grabbed it with both hands as I know numerous people who work on site and who have nothing but good things to say about working there.

Rating my experience with Retronix on a 1-5 scale I would have to give a 5. My reason for giving top marks is because Retronix Semiconductor really look after their employees. They are always willing to listen and help you in any matter that might arise while working there. The best thing for me so far while working for Retronix Semiconductor is getting to meet and work with so many different people every day. We get help and advice from direct client employees on a range of different issues that arise in the fab so it’s nice to feel part of a wider group.

I think if Retronix were to improve on something it would be that when there are changes happening in the job place we should all be notified together at the same time,

My advice to anyone who is looking to start or who is starting with Retronix is to always be willing to learn and take advice. Another small bit of information I would give to someone is that: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. A 12 hour shift can be long and the last 3 hours you will be tired and that’s when mistakes happen so plan the move in your head before you do it.

My plans for the future hopefully lie in continuing to work for Retronix Semiconductor as I love my job and have recently signed a new contract with Retronix. I will leave this testimonial with a simple thank you to the Retronix staff on giving me this opportunity to work for the company.
