4 quick tips for a successful résumé

Make an effective first impression with a concise, polished application that’s tailored to the role you’re applying for.

4 quick tips for a successful résumé

1. Keep it recent, keep it relevant

Save space by including only your most recent and relevant work experience. Reverse chronological order works best.

2. Use keywords

Match your skills and experience to the job description. If the spec asks for hand tool knowledge and problem-solving skills, ensure that you include these keywords in your application.

3. Showcase your skills

Put your technical knowledge in the limelight. List out the techniques and tools you know best in an easy-to-read format.

For example:

ASM EPI tools: E2000 & E2500
Varian tool implant sent
Torque wrenches, multimeters, solder iron

4. Don’t rule yourself out!

You may not appear to be an exact match at first glance – but many of our placements call for transferable skills from a variety of technical careers and industries. Hobby mechanic? Engine enthusiast? HVAC wizard? Perfect.
